Delhi Public School Dibrugarh celebrated the 77th Independence Day of India with great zeal and exhilaration. To commemorate the occasion , a grand function was organised in the school. The Chief guest Shri Mahavir Prasad Jain, Founder Gyan Ved Foundation, parent body of Delhi Public School Dibrugarh hoisted the national flag along with Pro Vice Chairman CA Sanjay Jain, Board Member Banita Jain and Angel Jain and Principal of the School, Probhati Biswas.
It was followed by National Anthem and inter House March past competition by all four school Houses; namely Rajputana, Maratha, Magadha and Maurya.
The cultural program including costume show, patriotic songs and dances, poetic recitations, role plays etc. Shri Mahavir Prasad Jain, Director of DPS Dibrugarh rekindled the spirit of nationalism while mentioning about our Great Indian Freedom Fighers in his speech. PVC CA Sanjay Jain, in his speech, mentioned about PM Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and motivated students to keep their inner minds as well as outer surroundings clean. PVC Sir made the students take a pledge to keep the environment clean.
The highlight of the event was the Investiture Ceremony of Students’ Council and House Leaders for installation of authority, power and right, followed by Oath taking ceremony which was administered by Board member Miss Angel Jain.
Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Principal who thanked the management as well as one and all present on the occasion. Delhi Public School Dibrugarh continues to observe such celebrations with a message for the students to act as responsible citizens and future leaders of the nation.
