Today, August 7th, the 171st Battalion of the CRPF organized a Blood Donation Camp, in collaboration with Apeksha Hospital, Dibrugarh, for the welfare of the public, exemplifying the unit’s commitment to both public safety and social service.
The blood donation camp is one of several events organized by the Battalion in the lead-up to its 20th Raising Day on August 9th.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from the Battalion’s soldiers, with Commandant Sameer Kumar Srivastava leading by example. He inaugurated the Camp and was the first to donate blood.

A total of 25 soldiers, including Commandant Srivastava, donated blood in today’s blood donation programme. Commandant Srivastava stated that this initiative not only aims to contribute to the well-being of the public but also sends a powerful message about the CRPF 171 Battalion’s dual role – safeguarding the people and actively engaging in community service.

“Every drop of blood can save a patient’s life. The magnitude of this truth becomes especially evident during emergencies where having enough blood is crucial for the patient’s survival. The CRPF 171 Battalion’s support is invaluable, and we pledge to utilize their donated blood with utmost efficiency to save a life, and bring hope and happiness to families during times of crisis”.
