Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari announces projects worth Rupees 458 crores in Dibrugarh and in neighboring districts.The new projects includes a lot of innovationssuch as widening/improvement to 4-Lane with paved shoulder from Nalani hula Gaon to Chotahapjan on existing Tinsukia – Makum Bypass of NH-15 (Old NH-37) and strengthening of existing NH-315 (Old NH-38) from Chotahapjan to Bogapani section (2-Lane +PS).District Dibrugarh has been sanctioned on EPC mode (Section-3) in the state of Assam with a budget of Rs. 458.59 Cr.

He asserted that this instant project will connect Dibrugarh with major towns of Lahowal, Tinsukia, Makum, Digboi Ledo up to pangsau pass on India/Myanmar Border via NH-315.It will also connect Doom Dooma,Dhola Sadia and Namsai and other parts of Arunachal Pradesh via NH-52.
