Asom Sahitya Sabha’s New President Dr. Surjya Kanta Hazarika felicitated

Byatikram MASDO felicitated newly-elected president of Asom Sahitya Sabha, Padma Shri Dr. Surjya Kanta Hazarika. Dr. Saumen Bharatiya, president of Byatikram MASDO along with the team members Kaveri Sharma Baruah, Pinki Das, Disha Chowdhury and Mayuri Sharma Baruah congratulated him with a bouquet of flowers, gamusa, japi and a memento.

Padma Shri Dr. Surjya Kanta Hazarika said, “Byatikram is one of the leading socio-cultural organizations in Assam and Northeast. It builds and develops relations with people all around the state and country. There is no doubt that Byatikram has been doing exceptional work in Bangladesh to keep Dr. Bhupen Hazarika alive in the hearts of the people.”Dr. Saumen Bharatiya said that “Under the leadership of Padma Shri Surjya Kanta Hazarika, the literary culture of Assam will develop further in the coming days with a believe that there will be better relations between the people of different communities and language groups of Assam”.

Dr Surjya Kanta Hazarika also expressed the opinion of giving special importance to translation works and respecting the neighboring literary culture in the upcoming activities of Asom Sahitya Sabha.
