The arrival of Devi Durga, or we can say Durgostav, is celebrated with ultimate joy and glee by the people of Dibrugarh. So to celebrate both the hard-work of the committee members and love for the festival of Dibrugarh, we are back with your favourite; our favourite ‘Dibrugarh Durgotsav Awards Season 3″ powered by JSB Infrastructures.

In the search for finding the best of the best , our first destination was the famous puja of the town , Gangapara Sarabani Puja Committee, located in Gangapara, west of the town exactly behind the Circuit House. During our impromptu conversation with committee members, they mentioned the architect of the mandapa, which will be a replica of The Kedarnath Temple.

Kedarnath Temple is one such Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. The temple is located in the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river in the state of Uttarakhand, India.

They also added that their theme is reusing and recycling waste materials, but not items made of plastic, but rather using items that are easily degradable and eco-friendly. And they mentioned that the murti is made by the kumars (potters) from Kumartuli, far away from Calcutta. And when it comes to making the best Devi Pratima, the Potters of Kumartuli are world famous.

It is important to celebrate our festival but not at the cost of harming our mother Earth. If Maa Durga is our Maa, then this Earth is also our Maa, and we should take care of it. We can look after both mothers and make them happy.
They ended up with a message: One of the committee members said.
