One of the most well-known Hindu holidays is Durga Puja. The goddess Durga, who is credited with killing the demon king Mahishasura, is honoured at this celebration. The Durga Puja holiday is a time for pleasure and celebration. It serves as a reminder of god’s ability to triumph against evil.

Sir Lancelot Hare (1906–1911) succeeded him, and Sir Charles Stuart Bayley followed him (1911-1912).Indian nationalists sparked controversy by decrying the division as an effort to “split and rule” the Bengali motherland.The merchant class in Calcutta was likewise concerned about losing their regional economic clout. As a reaction to the rise of Hindu nationalism, the All India Muslim League was established in 1906 at the All India Muhammadan Educational Conference in Dacca. As a result, the All India Hindu Mahasabha was founded. King George V declared the British government’s decision to void the partition at the Delhi Durbar in 1911. King George V declared that the partition had been revoked by the British government. The colonial government’s action was perceived as an attempt to placate extreme communal factions.
