Teachers’ Day celebration at Delhi Public School

Teacher’s Day marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the great teacher, anscholar of India. 5th of September is celebrated as teacher day to honor Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

Delhi Public School, Dibrugarh celebrated Teachers’ Day with a unique Guru Vandan program wherein old teachers who have taught the Pro Vice Chairman of the school, CA Sanjay Jain, were felicitated and presented with tokens of regard. Sri Birendraji Sharma, Dr. R. N. Barbara, Dr. Sewali Baruah, Retired Principal MDKG College, and Sri Raghawji Singh were the prominent teachers who attended the program.

The purpose of this program was to inspire young students to value respect and gratitude toward their teachers . Further, the program included the Felicitation of the teachers, a Cultural program organized by the students, lots of exciting games for the teachers, and many more. The PVC, CA Sanjay Jain, and Board member, Mrs. Banita Jain highlighted the significance of the Gurus in their lives and encouraged the teachers to be role models in the lives of the children. Mrs. Probhati Biswas, the Principal thanked the guest of honor and the teachers, and also the students with her encouraging words.
