Health plays one of the crucial roles in life which is also a way for uplifting India towards the path of development and betterment. By keeping this in mind, the much awaited marathon is being organized by the Marwari Yuva Manch Dibrugarh Greater. After a gap of two years, due to Covid-19 pandemic, this is the 6th edition of the Dibrugarh Marathon which is being organized, celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The theme for this year’s is ~ ‘Sweat today; Swasth Tomorrow’.
The title sponsor of the Dibrugarh Marathon 2022 is Delhi Public School, Dibrugarh. The motive of the Marathon which is been organized is to take it to the international standards for which half marathon (21.1 km) had been introduced in 2018. The race will start from Old Government Boys High School Field at exactly 5:30 am, and has mandatorily asked the participants of all the groups to report by sharp 4:30 a.m. The route from the starting point i.e. Old Government Boys‘ High School Field, will cover Thana Chariali – Khalihamari- Gabharupathar SBI- return back to Khalihamari- Thana Chariali- Chowkidingee- Milan Nagar SBI – return back to Chowkidingee- Thana Chariali- RKB Path- HS Road- AT Road and will come to cease at Old Government Boys High School Field.
The categories for the Marathon 2022 are ~

There are very limited entries and registrations will be gone. It will be completely on a 1st come 1st serve basis. The registration process is structured as Rs. 100 only for students and Rs. 200 only for general participants ( non- students).
After the completion of the event, the prize distribution ceremony will be held on the same day at 8:15 a.m.. The top three winners of all the four categories of both male and female will be provided with trophies and all the finishers will be provided with medals and refreshments. Added to all these, prize money too will be given to the winners of the Half Marathon(21.1 km), both male and female.

We are expecting more than 1500 participants this year. We have given forms to most of the schools in Dibrugarh on Friday. Today we are getting requests to give more forms and this shows the anticipation people have towards this mega event. Due to the pandemic we were not able to organise the Marathon for last two years.
