The J.K. Baruah U-19 Inter-District Cricket Tournament started in Dibrugarh today at the Jalan Outdoor Stadium in presence of the office-bearers of Dibrugarh District Sports Association including its President, Dr. Debajit Dutta and General Secretary, Niranjan Saikia.

The first match of the tournament – which has gone underway in 6 different zones across Assam today – in Dibrugarh is being held between Tinsukia and Charaideo. It is to be noted that the J.K. Baruah U-19 Inter-District Cricket Tournament is one of the flagship tournaments of Assam Cricket Association. In this season, matches of the tournament will be held in 6 different locations in the State, namely, Head Quarter Zone, Northern Assam Zone, Southern Assam Zone, Upper Assam Zone, Lower Assam Zone and Central Assam Zone. Dibrugarh has been chosen as the venue for the Upper Assam Zone for this season.
