Arunachal Pradesh has been awarded the ‘Most Improved Small State in Infrastructure Governance’ by India Today in their State of the States Conclave 2021.The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Prema Kandu shared the information in his official twitter handle on Friday.He dedicated the award to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and the hardworking government employees of the state.The award was conferred to the state keeping in view its mega-plan to transform the frontier state into a strategic key area of the nation.

According to reports,Arunachal Pradesh boasts the highest ratio of road length to vehicles among all states in India with 210.5 km of roads available to every 1,000 vehicles.Recently, CM Khandu has also launched the centrally-funded State Wide Area Network (SWAN) for the development of digital infrastructure of the region.

The main objective of this project is to provide secure digital connectivity to all the district headquarters and local administrative centres across the state, therefore aims to establish 184 SWAN points of presence in the state.
