On the opening ceremony of 52nd Varsity Week of Dibrugarh University,Union Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping & Waterways ,Shri Sarbananda Sonowal announced his decision to extend financial assistance from the Union Ministry of AYUSH for setting up Herbal Gardens and Nurseries on the premises of the University.The Union Minister also promised extensive support for setting up a Research Centre in the University campus in the upcoming days.
The Minister admired the lush greenery of the campus and it’s well maintained gardens and also praised the achievements of the students in different fields.
The Union Minister spoke about Tradition to Translation,scientific validation of India’s traditional systems of medicine, and how the rich biodiversity of the North East can be explored to push further growth of the region.
”Economy and Ecology, Humanity and Technology have to walk hand in hand to build a better future.” the Minister added.
