Assam District Makes COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate Must For Buying Liquor

In its latest order, the Barpeta district administration has made COVID-19 vaccination mandatory for liquor buyers. Licensed liquor shops are instructed not to sell liquor to unvaccinated customers.To achieve 100% vaccination within the district ,the Deputy Commissioner of Barpeta has passed an order that states that the sale of liquor is not permitted to those persons who fail to produce the COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate while purchasing liquor.The order further read that all licensees are strictly directed to comply with the order which is to come into effect with immediate force and any violation of the order,if reported, will be seriously taken and strict actions will be taken thereafter.

Following the order, all the licensees under the Barpeta Exercise Branch have been directed to check and ensure production of COVID vaccination certificates before sale of IMFL,beer, country spirit etc in the respective premises of all IMFL / Beer ‘On’, ‘Off’, CS Shops under Barpeta District.
