In the midst of the Omicron variant scare, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma urged eligible people in the state to get vaccinated against Covid-19. The State government hopes to complete the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign by December 5 and ensure that every eligible citizen has received the vaccine.
To ensure 100% vaccination, verification teams are knocking on every door in each of the state’s 33,530 polling stations. We’re keeping a close eye on things. “Whenever necessary, we will take all appropriate measures,” Dr Sarma said of Omicron’s entry into the country on Friday.

“In last few days, scientists have been saying that if we are vaccinated against Covid-19, there is not much to worry about. So, I appeal to those who have not taken the first dose to get it and those who are yet to get the second dose to get it at the right time,”
