The 12th edition of the Dibrugarh Book Fair got underway at Chowkidinghee field on November 26. The 12-day long bookfair is organised by Milan Jyoti Sangha, in collaboration with All Assam Book Publishers and Booksellers Association.
The fair was inaugurated by eminent litterateur and former Asom Sahitya Sabha president, Dr. Nagen Saikia.

Several book sellers and publishers from around the country and state has installed stalls. Book release function, seminars, cultural and career centric programmes have been the key attraction of the fair.

The fair has featured interactive sessions with renowned literary figures and poets’ meet. Students from in and around Dibrugarh too have visited the fair. Several eminent personalities, for instance, former Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, BJP Leader Rituparna Baruah and Novelist Juri Borah Borgohain have graced the fair. The book fair will remain open for the public till December 7, 2021.
