Assam’s Dibrugarh University, established in 1965 as a consequence of the Assam Legislative Assembly passing the Dibrugarh University Act, 1965, has been designated one of eight institutes throughout the country to win the British Council’s Going Global Partnerships Grant (partnership grant). It is a prominent academic and innovation-driven institution that plays a crucial role in developing the socio-cultural dynamic of North East India. The University provides funding for a wide range of endeavours that rely on a mix of thinking, theorising, and reflecting.

Collaboration is being conducted between Dibrugarh University and Queen’s University, Belfast. According to the British Council, the funds will be utilised to build a global multidisciplinary programme on comprehensive strategy and technology via collaboration.
