Ratan Tata to receive Assam Baibhav, Assam’s Highest Civilian Award

On the occasion of Asom Divas, or Assam Day, state Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Thursday that the industrialist Ratan Tata, chairman of the Tata group, would receive the most prestigious ‘Asom Bhaibav‘ award.

“Delighted to announce that the Government of Assam has decided to confer its highest civilian award, Assam Baibhav, to @RNTata2000 Chairman, @tatatrusts for his exceptional contribution towards furthering cancer care in Assam.”
