In keeping with the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the State of Meghalaya, the Department of Arts and Culture, Government of Meghalaya is all set to celebrate the Umngot River Festival. The festival is scheduled for December 3, 2021 at Shnongpdeng, Dawki, West Jaintia Hills.
Several water sports, for instance, boating, swimming, water polo, boat tableau competition, and zip lining will be the centre of attraction of the festival.
It is to be mentioned that the state has recently successfully wrapped its celebrations of the National Cherry Blossom Festival on November 27, 2021.
